Refund Policy

At KIF Press, we are committed to maintaining transparency, academic integrity, and fairness in all financial transactions related to our scholarly publishing services. This Refund Policy explains the conditions under which refunds may or may not be granted.

By submitting a manuscript or using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

KIF Press may charge Article Processing Charges (APCs) to cover costs related to:

  • Manuscript processing and peer review

  • Editorial management and quality checks

  • Online hosting and journal indexing

  • Long-term digital archiving

APCs are clearly communicated before payment and must be paid only after acceptance unless otherwise stated.

2. Non-Refundable Payments

Payments made to KIF Press are non-refundable in the following cases:

  • Manuscripts that have entered the peer-review process

  • Editorial evaluation or plagiarism screening has been initiated

  • Articles accepted and published online or in print

  • Author withdrawal after review has started

  • Delays caused by incomplete submissions or author-side revisions

Once scholarly processing begins, resources and reviewer time cannot be recovered.

3. Eligible Refund Cases

A refund may be considered only under the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate payment made accidentally by the author

  • Technical payment errors resulting in excess charges

  • Manuscript rejection before peer review begins (if APC was paid in advance)

  • Journal withdrawal by KIF Press before editorial processing starts

All refund requests are subject to internal verification and approval.

4. Partial Refunds

In rare cases, partial refunds may be issued if:

  • The manuscript is withdrawn before assignment to reviewers

  • Editorial screening has begun but peer review has not started

Administrative and processing fees may be deducted where applicable.

5. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, authors must submit a written request including:

  • Manuscript ID

  • Author name and registered email

  • Proof of payment

  • Reason for refund request

Requests must be submitted within 7–14 working days of payment.

6. Refund Processing Timeline

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 10–15 working days

  • Refunds will be issued using the original payment method

  • Transaction or banking charges (if any) are non-refundable

7. Conference & Special Issue Fees

Fees paid for:

  • Special issues

  • Conference proceedings

  • Fast-track review services

are strictly non-refundable, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

8. Policy Amendments

KIF Press reserves the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon publication on this page.
